प्रथम अध्याय

गीता जी के अध्याय 1 के श्लोक 1 से 19 तक इन श्लोकों में संजय धृतराष्ट्र को सेना की स्थिति तथा सेना में आए गणमान्य योद्धाओं के बारे में जानकारी दे रहा है। गीता अध्याय 1 के श्लोक 20 से 23 श्लोकों में अर्जुन के रहा है कि भगवान्! मेरे रथ को दोनों सेनाओं के मध्य में ले चलो ताकि देख लूं कि मेरे सामने टिकने वाले कौन-कौन से योद्धा हैं।
गीता अध्याय 1 के श्लोक 24-25 में वर्णन है कि भगवान कृष्ण ने रथ को दोनों सेनाओं के मध्य में खड़ा करके अर्जुन से कहा कि देख सामने खड़े राजाओं तथा कुरुवंशयों को। गीता अध्याय 1 के श्लोक 26 से 45 तक के इस श्लोकों में वर्णन है कि अर्जुन ने युद्ध के लिए तत्पर अपने ही संबंधियों, पुत्रों के पौत्रों, साले तथा ससुरों को मरने
-मारने के लिए आए हुए देखा तो श्री कृष्ण जी से विशेष विवेक से कहा कि सामने खड़े मासूम बच्चों, अपने साथी व चचेरे भाइयों व संबंधियों को देखकर मेरा शरीर काॅंप रहा है। धनुष हाथ से गिर रहा है। मैं खड़ा भी नहीं रह पा रहा हूॅं। अपने ही जनों को मारना अच्छा महसूस नहीं कर रहा हूॅं। हे कृष्ण! मैं तो मैं विजय चाहता हूॅं, ने ही राज्य का सुख। चूंकि उनको जो स्वयं अपने राज्य व जान की परवाह (चिंता) न करके मरने को तैयार हैं उन्हें मारकर में राज्य नहीं चाहता। मैं बंधुओं व पुत्र तथा पौत्रों को मारना नहीं चाहता। चाहे मुझे तीनों लोकों का राज्य भी क्यों न मिलता हो, फिर पृथ्वी के राज्य के लिए तो क्यों पाप करूॅं? इनको मारने से तो पाप ही लगेगा। ऐसे कुकर्म करके हम कैसे सुखी हो सकते हैं? ये सामने खड़े राजा लोग तो मोह माया में अंधे हो रहे हैं। फिर हमें तो ज्ञान है। ऐसा क्यों करें की कुल का नाश होने पर दूसरे दुष्कर्मी लोग हमारी स्त्रियों को बलात तंग करेंगे। वर्णसंकर संतान हो जाएगी। पतिव्रता धर्म नष्ट हो जाएगा तथा धर्म कर्म न करने से नरक के भागी हो जाएंगे। वास्तव में हम बहुत पापी हैं जो अपने ही बंधुओं को स्वार्थ वश मारने को तैयार हो गए हैं। गीता अध्याय 1 के श्लोक 46 में अर्जुन ने कहा कि भगवान इस पाप को बचाने के लिए यदि धृतराष्ट्र के पुत्र मुझ निहत्थे को मार दें और युद्ध में हो, तू भी मैं स्वयं मरना बेहतर समझता हूॅं कि एक मेरे मरने से लाखों में विधवा होने से बच जाएंगी तथा लाखों मासूम बच्चे अनाथ होने से बच जाएंगे। गीता अध्याय 1 के श्लोक 47 में यह कहकर अर्जुन दुखी मन से रथ के बीच वाले हिस्से में बैठ गया तथा धनुष को रख दिया।
इस अध्याय में कुल 47 श्लोक हैं जिनमें से दो श्लोक (24-25) श्रीकृष्ण ने बोले हैं। शेष संजय तथा अर्जुन ने कहे हैं।
First chapter
Divine summary
In verses 1 to 19 of Gita Ji's chapters 1 to 19, Sanjay is giving information to Dhritarashtra about the status of the army and the distinguished warriors in the army. In verses 20 to 23 of Gita chapter 1, Arjuna has said that God! Take my chariot in the middle of both the armies so that I can see which are the warriors who stand before me.
In verses 24–25 of Gita chapter 1, it is described that Lord Krishna placed the chariot in the middle of both the armies and asked Arjuna to see the kings and Kuruvanshis standing in front. In verses 26 to 45 of Gita chapter 1, it is narrated that Arjuna killed his own relatives, grandchildren, sons-in-law and in-laws of his sons, ready for war.
When I saw him coming to kill, he told Shri Krishna ji with special discretion that my body was shaking after seeing innocent children standing in front of me, their companions and cousins and relatives. The bow is falling from the hand. I am not able to stand either. Killing my own people is not feeling good. Hey Krishna! I want victory, it is the happiness of the state. Since the state does not want to kill those who are ready to die without worrying about their own state and life. I do not want to kill brothers and sons and grandchildren. Even if I do not get the kingdom of the three worlds, then why should I sin for the kingdom of the earth? Killing them will result in sin. How can we be happy by doing such misdeeds? The king people standing in front of them are blind in fascination. Then we have knowledge. Why should it happen that when the total is destroyed, other evil people will harass our women. Will be a half-born child. The virtuous religion will be destroyed and by not doing religious work, you will become part of hell. In fact, we are very sinners who have agreed to subdue their own brothers. In verse 46 of Gita chapter 1, Arjuna said that to save this sin, if the sons of Dhritarashtra kill me unarmed and are in war, I think it better for me to die myself than to be widowed by one of my millions. Millions of innocent children will survive being orphaned. In verse 47 of Gita chapter 1, saying this, Arjuna sat down in the middle of the chariot with a sad heart and placed the bow.
There are a total of 47 verses in this chapter, out of which two verses (24-25) are spoken by Shri Krishna. Sanjay and Arjun have said the rest.
